Norwegian (Swedish) Meatballs
MEATBALLS:
½ cup bread crumbs
1/3 cup milk
¼ cup onion, chopped
1½ pounds ground beef
1 egg
3 teaspoons Lena's Uff-Da Pleasoning®
2 tablespoons margarine/butter
SAUCE:
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup hot water
1 teaspoon Lena's Uff-Da Pleasoning®
½ cup milk
½ cup light cream (Half & Half)
Soak bread crumbs in milk. Add onion, ground beef, egg and "Lena's Uff-Da" Pleasoning®. Mix well and shape into 1 inch balls. Brown in 2 tablespoons margarine. Save fat in pan for sauce
Add flour to fat in pan and blend. Add hot water,"Lena's Uff-Da" Pleasoning®, milk and light cream. Cook until thick. Add meatballs, simmer at least 15 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles. For Appetizers: make the meatballs smaller.
