Norwegian (Swedish) Meatballs (NEW)

MEATBALLS: ½ cup bread crumbs

            1/3 cup milk

            ¼ cup onion, chopped

            1½ pounds ground beef

            1 egg

            3 teaspoons Lena's Uffda 017  Pleasoning

            2 tablespoons margarine/butter

 

SAUCE:  2 tablespoons flour

  1 cup hot water

  1 teaspoon Lena's Uffda 017  Pleasoning

  ½ cup milk

  ½ cup light cream (Half & Half)

 

 

Soak bread crumbs in milk. Add onion, ground beef, egg and Pleasoning. Mix well and shape into 1 inch balls. Brown in 2 tablespoons margarine. Save fat in pan for sauce

 

Add flour to fat in pan and blend. Add hot water, Pleasoning, milk and light cream. Cook until thick. Add meatballs, simmer at least 15 minutes.  Serve over rice or noodles.   For Appetizers: make the meatballs smaller.
